We do not recommend ourselves as a specialist school for students with learning difficulties; however, there are a number of such boys within the school who have passed the entrance exam and who are doing well. If a boy can cope with the academic nature of the school but has certain learning differences that we can reasonably accommodate in the classroom, then we will endeavour to support him in his studies. Support is offered through special classes at lunchtimes as well as via support profiles which keep all staff aware of the particular needs of the boys concerned: the boys are not removed from lessons to receive one to one support nor is such support offered in the classroom.
All boys are screened for dyslexia on entry and the whole of Learning Support is overseen by a full-time member of staff who will be able to answer any specific questions parents may have.
The Learning Support Co-ordinator can be contacted through the school.
