Diamond Decor 23.05.12

Year Six have been trying to improve their recycling habits by collecting empty, catering-size baked bean tins from the school kitchen, painting them, attaching a hook and ‘voila!’ –  colourful planters ready to be planted and hooked onto a little-noticed fence near their classroom. The project used a variety of skills – maths to work out how many tins would be needed to form LGS, art to paint the tins, physical strength and dexterity to bolt the hooks into place (Mrs Lax’s drill didn’t always position the holes accurately) and garden design to turn the fence into a stunning floral display.  All we need now is SUN.
