EMACT Latin and Greek Reading Competition 22.11.17

On Wednesday 15 November, twenty-three Loughborough Grammar School boys headed off to Derby Grammar School to take part in the annual EMACT Latin and Greek Reading Competition. The event was hotly contested with around 100 contestants from six local schools taking part. We put forward entries in all six categories and there were some superb recitations with beautiful and authentic pronunciation of the Latin and Greek but particular mention must go to Will O’Neill (11DOF) who came first in the Intermediate Greek category and was singled out by the judges for his extraordinary performance across the whole competition.
