The presentation evening for the boys who have undertaken, for the first time at LGS, the Extended Project Qualification was held last week when the candidates had to present the findings of their work to an audience and be prepared to answer questions on their work. Twenty one of the current Year 13 will complete the EPQ this year and we expect numbers to increase over the next few years.
The EPQ provides an opportunity for students to extend their abilities beyond the A-level syllabus: it allows them to stand out and prepare for university or their future career. They are required to identify, design, plan and complete an individual project, applying a range of organisational skills and strategies to meet agreed objectives.
The presentations suggest that the boys have done a good job.
