Summer of Success 25.08.16

It has been a remarkable summer for Sixth Former, Ben Dijkstra – he competed in the World Cup Triathlon qualifier at the TriLiverpool this month. He came second overall in the elite senior race which combines senior and junior competitors with only Adam Bowden (an international triathlete who has competed in 6 out of 7 world championships this year) being able to go faster than Ben!

He also won the Junior title at the TriLiverpool competition.

Ben has now qualified for the World Triathlon Championship in Cozumel, Mexico on the 16th of September for which we wish him the best of luck!

Also this summer, Ben competed at the French Grand Prix in Gray. Out of 86 competitors, Ben placed 7th – the 1st GB athlete to finish and the 1st Junior to cross the line. Ben was the youngest competitor! He then went on to beat 500 competitors at The Jenson Button Trust Triathlon in Derby to claim victory!

What a fantastic summer for Ben so far!
