Founded over 30 years ago, this important department is exclusive to the Sixth Form at both AS and A2 Level. Our excellent facilities are all housed within an exclusive faculty building and each of the dedicated rooms is fully equipped with the very latest teaching aids and furnished in an appropriate manner to promote and stimulate high-level education. We enjoy complete access to all the school ICT suites and have our own Resource area where boys read their daily newspapers, periodicals and higher educational publications.

Our reputation goes beyond Loughborough. In 2005 the Good Schools Guide made 3 awards to the department for its excellent results – and our team won through to the regional finals of the Ogden Trust Business Competition held at Oxford University. Every year we enter several teams into the Pro Share Investment game (like a fantasy Stock Exchange) where boys compete against leading schools from all over the country via the Internet. We always aim to secure results which outstrip the national average and consequently our pupils are always amongst those gaining places at the most highly respected universities.

We enjoy many valuable links with local business and universities and guests are regularly invited to speak or deliver lectures. We also arrange trips to subject related conferences where a wide variety of speakers seek to promote lively debate, adding an extra dimension to the superb learning experience already on offer.
