At Loughborough, academic and pastoral issues are inseparable. In our view, pupils learn best when they care for each other and are cared for by their teachers. Hence PSHE, which covers a range of topics which do not necessarily sit comfortably in other subject areas, but demand inclusion within the curriculum.
These are important lessons. Through them we stimulate our pupils to fit together many of the more complex pieces of a puzzling world. Put simply, PSHE is the bridge that helps turn a schoolboy into an interesting and confident young man.
