Endowed Schools

This School has a vital advantage over most others. The proximity of the High School means that the pointless argument of single-sex versus co-education is side-stepped and Loughborough offers simply the best of both.

The Grammar School is, in fact, part of a larger family known as the Loughborough Endowed Schools. Situated on the same extensive campus as us you will find Loughborough High School for Girls and Fairfield School, the co-educational Prep School (ages 4 – 11) which prepares boys and girls for the senior Schools. Although independent from each other, these three Schools share a common Board of Governors and the links joining the three are obvious to all.

Particular benefits are enjoyed in drama and music and boys mix freely with girls in most of the usual activities of these departments. So although our boys are educated completely separately in all of the core subjects, they grow up in regular contact with girls of the same age. Loughborough's approach is unique and balanced.
