Fieldwork foray 19.10.12

There was something very different about this year’s Year 12 Geography Field Course to North Yorkshire:  it didn’t rain, not during daylight that is.  The boys completed work on the impact of glaciation in the Vale of Pickering area, examined the measures being put in place to prevent flooding in the towns of Malton and Pickering and spent a day measuring all aspects of the River Derwent in preparation for their January Fieldwork Investigation Examination.  Once again the Cranedale Centre provided a splendid base.
