Research Project 16.09.16

Sai Kotecha (Year 13) carried out 2 research projects in the field of bioinformatics, analysing lipid residues in protein macromolecules as well as in electrochemistry, comparing the sensitivity of platinum naboband  array electrodes with macro electrodes over the summer during his 6 week Nuffield Research Placement with Warwick University.

Sai has now been invited to give a talk at the Royal Society on the 1st October and St Anne’s college, Oxford on the 18th October about his experience with medical research and how others students can carry out their own projects. He has also been commissioned by Biological Science Review magazine to write a 2000 word article about one of his projects looking into the domestic use of polyclonal antibodies as a method of diagnosis as one of the 5 main articles in their journal.
